Enrollment and ApplicationGeneral FAQ

I was asked to scan my ID, why?

While you were signing up for a Lowe’s PreLoad account, you may have been asked to scan a photo copy of a government issued ID. There are a few reasons why this may have occurred:

  1. Information was omitted
  2. Information has been mistyped
  3. Information has been falsified
  4. Additional information is required by federal law for CIP (Customer Identification Program)

If you receive a test message asking you for more information. Follow the prompts to send a picture of an unexpired government issued ID with your photograph (front and back) via your mobile device. You may submit:

  1. Driver’s License (U.S. state or foreign)
  2. Passport (U.S. or foreign)
  3. U.S. state-issued ID card
  4. U.S. military ID card
  5. Native American tribal ID card
  6. Mexican Consular ID card
  7. Alien ID, such as a green card or work Visa
  8. Any other valid, unexpired government issued ID card bearing a photograph or other biometric identifier

Please note:  The link to upload your ID expires in less than 48 hours.  Be sure to submit your ID scan as soon as possible to avoid a delay in your account approval.
